Helping Students Do More
The Blaine County Education Foundation created a program to help students achieve more. The program provides funding for extra classes to assist students that may be struggling with core academic classes or life skills that are specific to the needs of each school. Currently, two schools were selected to receive funds to implement necessary enhancement programs.
At Bellevue Elementary School, an after school homework club was established to assist students who are struggling. These particular students do not qualify for district aid and needed extra help. The BCEF funding was able to create additional after school classes for these students.
Silver Creek High School requested funds to create a social learning program. The students who participate in this program receive instruction on the necessary social skills to better prepare them for school and life.
